This book considers what should constitute generally accepted accounting principles for primary producers with a view to providing guidance on financial reporting and valuation policies and techniques for primary producers and their financial advisors. Guidance on those financial systems which facilitate the preparation of financial reports is offered but not in sufficient detail in order to implement those accounting systems. Tax matters and the determination of taxable income are not discussed in any detail
