[The use of grafting in tomato plants as a safety measure against Pyrenochaeta lycopersici Schn. and Gerl.]
1987
Palminha, J.M.C. (Instituto Superior de Agronomia, Lisbon (Portugal))
The corky-root is probably the most dangerous soil-born disease of the tomato crop grown under greenhouse conditions. The resulting yield losses are particularly important in the case of consecutive tomato crops, without efficient control practices. The available disease control methods include: cultural practices, physical control methods, chemical control methods and improved resistance through breeding. This work consists of a literature review on the work done on grafting as an efficient method in the control of Pyrenochaeta lycopersici Schn. e Gerl. responsible pathogen of the tomato corky root (author)
