Analysis of the sources of variability of the haematological characteristics of geese

During four age periods of rearing and breeding, the ganders and geese of the 2811-RH and Ivagees parent populations were subjected to analysis of variability of the haematological characteristics with respect to age, origin, sex, period and individual. The correlations and regression relationships between the age of the birds and the haematocrit are highly significant (I=0.88++ and I=0.77++, respectively). As to the characteristics of the respiratory function of the blood and the composition of the white blood picture, a closer relationship was recorded in the females than in the males.
