First analytical investigations of the three plots showed soil contaminations with lindane (0.2-1.3 mig/kg), parathion (1-2 mig/kg), pyrazophos (6-12 mig/kg) and prochloraz (4-104 mig/kg soil). Except for lindane, these residues were a result of pesticide applications in previous years. During the vegetation periods from 1987 to 1989, the determined residues of insecticides and fungicides (mig/kg soil) showed no significant differences between the investigated agricultural management systems. Only carbofuran showed higher concentrations (1-6 mg/kg soil) due to applying the band techniques. After the metabolization and the immobilization anilazine could not be found in the soil samples. At the beginning of each vegetation period, carbofuran, fenpropimorph, fenvalerat, pirimicarb and propiconazol were occasionally traceable. Lindane, parathion, prochloraz, pyrazophos and triadimenol remained longer than one year in the soil. During the vegetation period only triadimenol was also transported into the 5-10 cm surface layer. After soil tillage, carbendazim, lindane, prochloraz and triadimenol were distributed throughout the cultivation horizon. Their vertical mobility should be observed. Besides the effects of soil tillage, meteorological parameters such as rainfall or temperature showed no significant influence
