Estimating rabbit density by counting dung pellets [vertebrate pest ecology]

The relationship between number of rabbit-days and density of pellets was examined in 6 0.5ha enclosures in subalpine vegetation, three of which had been burnt to produce a structurally homogeneous vegetation. The regression equation is presented.
