The resistance of antimicrobial agents in Salmonella from veterinary sources in Australia from 1975 to 1982 [cattle, pigs, poultry]

Of 1,287 strains from bovine, porcine and avian sources, streptomycin resistance was found in 286, and tetracycline resistance in 282. Multiple resistance to 2 or more antimicrobials occurred in 173, streptomycin and tetracycline being the most common combination. The level of resistance overall did not change during the period studied.
