Semen characteristics of the Cameroon and Long-tail rams and their F1s

The F1s (Long-tail female x Cameroon male), demonstrated better and more consistent libido than the parental breeds and achieved sexual maturity by 12 months. Its seminal volume was significantly less than the Long-tails but the sperm concentration did not differ
