Prolificacy in pluriparous sows after return to estrus [Italy]

anglais. Differences in pluriparous sow prolificacy (livebirths and stillborn piglets) were studied in two pig farms. The sows were divided on the basis of regular (=23 d) return to estrus. The control group was made up of sows with the same number of farrowings and month of conception. Statistic analysis did not highlight any significant differences except in a pig farm where the sows with regular return to estrus showed higher prolificacy

In due allevamenti sono stati esaminate le differenze di prolificita' (suinetti nati vivi e morti) del parto facente seguito ad un ritorno in ciclo (=23 d) di scrofe pluripare utilizzando come controllo soggetti del medesimo ordine di parto e mese di concepimento. I risultati dell'analisi statistica non hanno mostrato differenze significative tranne in una azienda dove le scrofe con ritorni in ciclo hanno evidenziato una prolificita' superiore (P0.05)
