Routine HPLC determination methodology of residues of beta-adrenoceptor blocking agent carazolol in porcine tissues, fat and body fluids was introduced. The clean-up of tissues utilizes Sep-Pak Vac C18 SPE mini columns, while fat, urine and serum were cleaned up with liquid-liquid extraction. The chromatographic separation was performed with Supelcosil LC-ABZ stationary phase and fluorescent detection. The results were evaluated by the help of the internal standard. The results obtained show high linearity, selectivity, recovery (between 83.5 and 127.4), precision and low limits of detection (between 0.3 and 1 ppb). The evaluated methods completely correspond to the EEC criteria.
