Economy of cattle and pig production on farms of Pomurje region

The economy analyses of cattle and pig production on farms of Pomurje region indicates that most of the farms does not achieve an income that is not competitive with those from other economy branches. Such an income is achieved only by pig production oriented farms that are bigger than the average ones. Income on cattle production oriented farms covers only costs of work while there is no finance left for the renewal of the buildings or machinery. Beef production appears to be the least profitable one.
