Wylie, F.R. | Peters, B.C. (Queensland Dept. of Primary Industries, Indooroopilly (Australia). Forest Research Inst.)
Some of the most common and damaging insect pests of eucalypt trees in plantations and in native forests in Queensland are listed and discussed. Principal among these are stem boring longicorns (Tryphocaria), wood moths (Xyleutes, Uzucha), lerp insects (Cardiaspina), scarab leaf beetles (Anoplognathus, Epholcis) and subterranean termites (Coptotermes). Of the listed pests of native forests, phasmatids are the only major group yet to cause damage in plantations here.
