The results of trials were obtained in testing responses of various winter wheat varieties to fungicide treatments against Septoria leaf blotch (Stagonospora nodorum). The trial was established under artificial infection with the pathogen in the field. The final productivity in individual treatments was highly significantly affected by both the variety and the fungicide used in all years. Visible development of infection after fungicide treatments was evaluated on the basis of the ADPC parameter which provided clear information on differences among the products used and varieties tested. The varieties Sparta and Viginta responded by high yield increases in various treatment of the trial. Zdar, Hana, Asta, Bruta, Mona and Vlada showed, in a number of cases, yield losses as compared to an untreated infected variant using both active ingredients of contact and systemic effects.
