Potential changes to domestic marketing arrangements resulting from import embargo removal are examined, as well as assistance to the sugar industry. Actual levels of assistance will strongly depend on future world price movements. Several possible price scenarios are examined. Industry income levels are likely to become more variable, but producers will receive more accurate price signals.
