An experiment was carried out to compare the performance of FASSB's decanter solid organic fertilizers i.e. FOF1 (non-decomposed fertilizer) and FOF2 (decomposed fertilizer) for oil palm main nursery seedlings. The organic fertilizers tested were FOF1, FOF2, SUPERGRO, BIO-5 and chicken dung at three different rates i.e. 150g per seedling, 250g per seedling and 350g per seedling for the 10-month duration trial. The inorganic fertilizers used were FPM and Nitrophoska compounds. The results showed that the performance of FOF1 and FOF2 especially at the highest rate tested i.e. 350 g per seedling was comparable to that of other organic and inorganic fertilizers in terms of vegetative growth and dry matter production. Hence, FASSB's decanter solid organic fertilizers could be alternative fertilizers for use in the oil palm main nursery.
