Production traits (import to first calving period, first and second lactation milk performance, protein and fat yield) and fertility traits (calving interval, calving to first insemination interval, service period, first service conception rate, conception rate and services per conception) were analysed in imported Holstein cattle. 544 first calver cows were used for the analyses. Data were analysed by SAS/STAT program using mixed model least squares and maximum likelihood method. Import to first calving period had significant effect on first lactation length, hundred days of first lactation milk performance and protein yield. Import to first calving period effect was insignificant on analysed reproductive traits. Finally, before importation of highly improved breed the preparation of farms to provide proper nutrition and management is the most important paragenetic factor.
