Changes in physical and chemical properties of soil affected by straw and mineral fertilizers on oats yield. Pt 2. Morphology and oats yields
1996
Sniady, R.
The pot experiments carried out in 1986-88 on light soil aimed at finding the effects of straw and mineral fertilizers on morphology and yields of oats grown in the soil at different moisture contents and density. The highest grain yield (45.2 g/pot) was obtained at increased rates of mineral fertilizers and 80 percent max capillary water capacity of high density soil, free of straw. The grain yield was to a high extent affected by the number of seeds in a panicle and the number of panicles per pot, resulting from the increase in tiller plants. The number of tillers increased as the rates of mineral and organic fertilizers and increased with elevated moisture content of the soil
