Trends of transformations in field crop production - technologies and techniques

On the background of literature review the effects of some macroeconomical factors (long-lasting food price drop, relative plant crop overproduction, expenditure increase, progress in livestock husbandry, fallow lying of arable land, changes in farming management) on trends of structural and technological changes in field crop production were discussed. A number of possibilities to utilize the cereals, potatoes, sugar beets, rape and maize crops as the raw materials for chemical industry were indicated. Perspectives of substituting conventional crops by production of energy supplying raw materials, such as persistent trees, one-years' plants for liquid or solid biofuels etc. were presented
