Silver fir (Abies alba Mill.) in the new growth of the Pecka virgin forest in the last thirty tears

The article deals with the processes that affect silver fir within the new growth of the Pecka virgin forest. The concept of the study is that of a comparative analysis of five new growth inventories within the last 30 years. The analyses of age, height and health structure of silver firs within new growth have been carried out according to survey periods. The results of the analyses show that the regeneration of silver fir in the Pecka virgin forest is problematic due to bad health condition of silver firs in new growth, and due to strong reduction caused by environmental factors
