Transportation of clams, Geloina coaxan was conducted from Delta Tampina, Luwu Regency, South Sulawesi to Experiment Pond of Research Institute for Coastal Fisheries at Marana, Maros aimed at assessing the effect of different boxes on the survival rate of clams as biofilter in the intensive brackishwater pond. Three different boxes were used namely fibre glass (35x27x26 cm), carton box (40x30x20 cm), and plastic bag (65x55 cm). Each box was stocked 200 ind. with average weight of 58.34 g, length of 4,70 cm and thickness of 2.34 cm. A complete randomized design of 3x3 was applied. The results showed that survival rate attained 100 percent in each treatment transported for 20 hours which were not significantly different (P0.05)
