1997
Fornal, L. | Ciepielewska, D. (Akademia Rolniczo-Techniczna, Olsztyn (Poland))
On the whole and broken up seeds of the three buckwheat cultivars were grown the following storage pests: grain weevil, rice weevil, confused flour beetle, khapra beetle and saw-toothed grain beetle. It has been found that the life longevity span of the pests studied is a specific trait and does not depend on the cultivar, but it does on the degree of breaking up of seeds. The highest threat for the whole buckwheat seeds are the species capable of reproducing in the habitat of grain weevil, rice weevil and khapra beetle. On buckwheat products there feed and reproduce confused flour beetle, saw-toothed grain beetle and khapra beetle
