This paper identifies a number of grasses which research at the Caribbean Agricultural Research and Development Institute (CARDI) has shown would be suitable for acid soils and will also grow on moderately acid to neutral soils. These grasses would allow farmers to produce enough high quality forage in the dry season to sustain livestock productivity.
