Qualitative and quantitative features of the ichthyofauna of the Slovak tributaries of the River Dunajec

The occurrence of nine fish species belonging to five families was revealed in the Slovak tributaries of the River Dunajec in the Pieniny Mts area. The tributaries have the character of trout waters in which brown trout, Salmo trutta m. fario L. prevailed, comprising 52-100 percentage of the fish community. The lower reaches of the Rieka and Lipnicky brooks are favourable for the occurrence of grayling, Thymallus thymallus (L.)
