Frequency of occurrence of udder inflammation at Holstein-Friesian cows and its influence on yield and physicochemical properties of milk

The yield, composition and quality of milk of cows imported from France and Germany and the state of udder health was determined. In I lactation 23.40 percent cow imported from France and 20.83 percent imported from Germany was ill. In II lactation quantity of ill cows grew less respectively about 0.67 and 2.08 percent. In I and II lactation number of somatic cells former was lower in milk of cows imported from Germany. The healthy cows produced much in yield of milk, fat, protein, lactose and dry matter. With the advanced morbid state there was an increase in the pH of milk. With worsening the sanitary condition of udder the content of fat and protein in milk decreased
