Results of morphological studies of soild wastes in the country dump at Bielawa

Morphological studies of soild wastes in the contury refuse dump were carried out in the years 1996-97. The investigations aimed at obtaining information on the quantity and quality of these refuses. It turned out, that the content processable wastes such as: glass, metal, plastic, waste paper was highest (44.8). There were also a lot of useless refuses: ash, ceramics, slag, rubble, leather and bones (33). Organic refuses were present in quantities (21.2) higher than given in the literature were (2.0-5.5). There were very little dangerous wastes in the refuse dump (less than 1). The results of investigations indicated that there are possibilities to reduce the amount of wastes delivered to the refuse dump
