anglais. [The genetic selection may have also affected some behaviour aspects in domestic cock. Aim of this work was to check the fear reactions in two different strains of chickens (Cobb and ISA Warren) by open field and tonic immobility test. Furthermore, the relationship between behaviour reactivity and semen traits was assessed. The test results doesn't show any relationship between behaviour reactions and semen traits. On the contrary, the two genetic strains showed a different reactivity, evaluated by tonic immobility test. This result strengthens the hypothesis that there is a rather high possibility to improve the behaviour reactions towards humans by genetic selection]

Scopo del presente lavoro e' stato valutare le reazioni di paura in due ceppi di galli (Cobb e ISA Warren) tramite i test di open-field ed immobilita' tonica. Inoltre, si e' valutata la relazione tra reattivita' comportamentale e caratteristiche del seme. I risultati dei test non sembrano evidenziare relazioni tra caratteristiche del seme e reattivita' comportamentale. I due ceppi genetici manifestano invece una reattivita' comportamentale differente, valutata tramite il test di immobilita' tonica. Questo rinforza l'ipotesi circa la possibilita' di intervenire sulla selezione per migliorare la reattivita' verso l'uomo di questi animali
