State of surface water purity on an area of eroded agricultural catchment

Paper presented the results of study on surface water purity in eroded agricultural catchment of the Ciemiega river. The survey conducted in 1997-99 included the analyses of selected physico-chemical parameters of surface water. Water samples were taken from four ponds and Ciemiega river at Jastkow and Snopkow. Average values of analysed parameters showed that the water from one pond could be classified into 3rd class of surface water purity. Water from the other ponds and Ciemiega river did not meet water purity standards.
