Identification of the criteria to evaluating the drinking-bowls for broiler chickens in aspect of zootechnical ergonomy requirements

Criteria to qualify the drinking bowls for broiler chicks were described. The criteria were elaborated considering the requirements of zootechnical ergonomy and including zootechnical, technical and operating-functional factors. From among 18 verified and selected criteria, the more important were: no feed losses in a bowl, no possibility of the birds' injury, no possibility of water pollution with feed in a bowl, whereas the less important included: no possibility of bird's entering into bowl and keeping constant water temperature in a bowl
