Influence of irrigation with yeast wastewater on the selected properties of the soil and water purity

In the paper are presented researches result of soils chemical properties on fields of agricultural utilization and wastewater treatment from Silesian Factory of Yeast in Wolczyn. The paper present as well investigations results of chemical composition of the yeast wastewater as well drainage runoffs and groundwaters from fields irrigated with that wastewater. Results of researches and statistical analyses proved, that fields irrigation with yeast wastewater does not cause danger accumulation of the wastewater components in the soils and waters. The only exceptions were higher contents of potassium in the analysed groundwaters, on the object area, in relation to ground water behind the investigation object. Proper run of irrigation cause that soils do not show chemical or physical degradation and can still make an effectively role of natural biological wastewater treatment plant
