Rational multiplication of honeybee colonies effectively suppresses the swarm impulse and increases their productivity

The paper presents effective methods of honeybee colony multiplication, aimed at rational apiary development. The multiplication methods were analysed taking into account their effect on the productivity of mother colonies. It was concluded that these methods should be selected on the basis of the expected number of new colonies as well as climate and nectar flow conditions
