Successive effect of organic fertilization practical under vegetables on soil moisture

The experiment examined changes of soil humidity in the cultivation of red beets, in the third year after organic fertilization. The following organic manures were examined: farmyard manure 60 t/ha, green manures (phacelia, rye, vetch, faba bean) and straw in doses 4 and 6 t/ha. Green manures were plough down I wholes or in form of plants after harvest. It was found, that organic accumulation of moisture in soil with comparison with a combination not brought organically. Among the aftercrop plants, in the third year after ploughing down, the most profitable influence on the soil moisture was exerted by fertilization with rye and winter vetch. Greater quantity of ploughed down mass of aftercrop plants influenced profitably the moisture of the soil. Fertilization with straw (in dose 6 t/ha) influenced soil humidity. Also profitable influence of combining fertilization with straw and phacelia was observed on soil moisture
