[A model of forest inventory and cartography. The example of Marches (Italy) Region]

anglais. This work has been set up on a methodological plan according to a series of researches and surveys characterised by a high innovative content. In this study an updated knowledge on the nature, quantities and location of the Marches region forests allows to develop trends of forestry management aimed at valorisation, use and amelioration of the different woods. The inventory, conducted on more than 2,400 sampling areas, frames the quantitative and qualitative state of the resource. The forestry Type, defined specifically to support management policies, subdivides the wooded areas according to the ecological, phytosociological, evolutive and cultural characteristics. The thematic cartography is elaborated into a numerical format and reports, on a 1:25.000 scale, the territorial distribution of the forestry Types, of the structural Orders, of the prevalent functional Purposes, of the Management and Intervention Trends, of the patrimonial Regimes attributable to the regional forests. The produced reports of this work are the basis to arrange the General and Sector Policy Plans and Programmes, in the next 15 years, according to the polyfunctional forestry planning

Il lavoro svolto, impostato sul piano metodologico in una serie di indagini e rilievi ad elevato contenuto innovativo, fornisce, attraverso aggiornate conoscenze sulla natura, consistenza e localizzazione delle foreste marchigiane, indirizzi e linee di intervento per la razionale valorizzazione, utilizzazione e miglioramento delle diverse formazioni boschive. L'inventario, condotto su oltre 2.400 aree di saggio, inquadra lo stato quali-quantitativo della risorsa; la Tipologia forestale, definita espressamente a supporto degli orientamenti gestionali, distingue le aree boscate secondo caratteristiche ecologiche, fitosociologiche, evolutive e colturali; la cartografia tematica, elaborata in formato numerico, riporta alla scala 1:25.000 la distribuzione territoriale dei Tipi forestali, degli Assetti strutturali, delle Destinazioni funzionali prevalenti, degli Indirizzi e Priorita' di intervento, dei Regimi patrimoniali attribuibili alle selve regionali. Gli elaborati prodotti costituiscono le basi per la predisposizione di Piani e Programmi di politica di Settore, da realizzarsi, nel prossimo quindicennio, secondo i criteri della pianificazione forestale polifunzionale
