Effects of floroglucinol on the rooting of peach rootstocks [Prunus persica (L.) Batsch - Brazil]

anglais. This paper aimed at verifying the effect of floroglucinol on rooting of peach rootstocks. The experiment was conducted in Departamento de Fitotecnia of University of Pelotas, Brazil. Cuttings were prepared with length of 15 cm and diameter of 5-8 mm and immersed quickly (5 seconds) in solutions containing 0, 2,000 and 4,000 mg l*[-1) of floroglucinol. The basal portion of cuttings was disposed in vermiculite. After 120 days, % of rooting, number of roots, length of roots and of shoots were evaluated. In the treatments with floroglucinol, no significant effect on rooting of cuttings was observed. Differences among rootstocks concerning the four evaluated parameters were assessed

L'esperimento e' stato effettuato presso il Departamento de Fitotecnia dell'Universita' di Pelotas, Brasile. Sono state preparate talee della lunghezza di 15 cm e diametro di 5-8 mm, che sono state immerse rapidamente (5 secondi) in soluzioni contenenti 0, 2.000 e 4.000 mg l*[-1) di floroglucinol. La porzione basale delle talee e' stata posta in vermiculite. Dopo 120 giorni, sono stati valutati la percentuale di radicazione, il numero di radici, la lunghezza delle radici e dei germogli. Nei trattamenti con floroglucinol, non e' stato osservato alcun effetto significativo sulla radicazione, mentre sono state rilevate differenze relativamente ai quattro parametri oggetto di valutazione]
