anglais. Two experimental trials to control Rhizoctonia solani on poinsettia (Euphorbia pulcherrima cv Cortez) were carried out during August - November 2001. The following biological products were tested: Bacillus subtilis F3, Trichoderma spp., Trichoderma harzianum T39, Trichoderma harzianum T22. A chemical fungicide, tolclofos-methyl, was also applied as a control. In the first trial, antagonists were added to the substrate before artificial inoculation of pathogen; in the second trial, biological products were mixed either to the substrate, previously inoculated with 1, 2.5, 5 g of infected wheat kernels per kg of substrate, or used by dipping cuttings of poinsettia before their potting in the infected substrate. The results showed an high and constant effectiveness of toclofos-methyl distributed by drenching (125 g/100 l) after transplanting, while the different strains of Trichoderma harzianum and Bacillus subtilis showed a very low activity against the pathogen
