anglais. The in silico (computer-assisted) approach in ecology to empirical-statistical, self-organized, simulation, and analytical models is discussed. The distinctive features of assessing the adequacy of mathematical models in ecology are discussed. The use of an integrated modeling approach (“model storm”) is justified.
