Effect of Different Sowing Times on Seed Yield of Some Narbon Vetch (Vicia narbonensis L.) Cultivars under Tekirdag Ecological Conditions

The aim of this research was to determine the seed yield and some seed yield characters of Narbon vetch cultivars at different sowing times under Tekirdag ecological conditions. The study was conducted in Tekirdag Namik Kemal University, Faculty of Agriculture, Field Crops Department Research and Experimental Area, for three years (2015-2018) in randomized split block design with three replications. Three Narbon vetch cultivars (Bozdağ, Özgen, Dikili) were used. The natural plant height, number of pods per plant, one thousand seed weight and seed yield were determined. The highest natural plant height was determined in Özgen genotype (54.93 cm) and 1st sowing time (71.80 cm); number of pods per plant in 1st sowing time (15.01 pcs/plant); one thousand seed weight in Dikili and Bozdağ genotypes (255.05 and 254.19 g), 1st sowing time (258.28 g); seed yield in 3rd sowing time Dikili genotype (137.76 kg/da), 2nd sowing time Bozdağ genotype (136.72 kg/da) and 2nd and 3rd sowing time Özgen genotype (136.40 ve 134.89 kg/da) interactions respectively. According to highest seed yield, Narbon vetch can be sown at December and January in the Tekirdag ecological conditions and probably in similar ecological conditions.
