The education and competence assessment of the farmers in the agricultural sector of Adjara.

The article presents the results of our research, which has been carried out since 2020 within the framework of the joint project of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara "Introduction of Educational and Scientific Practice" and the Georgian Academy of Agricultural Sciences. Due to the specifics of the research, the questionnaire is broken down into 6 sections. This study presents the results of the information in Section 2 "The Education and Competence of Farmers". The article aims to collect and analyze primary data on "Education of farm owners and their competence". The research methods include a quantitative and qualitative survey of farms, using a direct interview and electronic platform survey-questionnaire, which was developed in early 2021. The research revealed a fairly high level of education for farm owners, but despite their education, their farms are still low-income and uncompetitive on the market.
