The aim of the research was to establish the effectiveness of the use of mineral fertilizers in the cultivation of when growing maize (Zea mays) for grain against the background of an average supply of soil with exchangeable potassium in the 0-40 cm layer. Field experiments were carried out in the conditions of the Educational and Scientific Production Complex of the Don State Agrarian University in the Oktyabrsky district of the Rostov region in 2015-2017. The object of the study was the maize hybrid Krasnodarskiy 385 (mid-season). Analysis of the results of the yield of maize grain due to the use of mineral fertilizers and the content of available nutrients in the soil indicates a significant increase in the yield of maize grain in all years with an improvement in potassium nutrition of plants at an average supply of soil with exchangeable potassium in a soil layer of 0-40 cm, even against the background of low availability of soil. / Целью исследований являлось установление эффективности применения минеральных удобрений при выращивании кукурузы (Zea mays) на зерно на фоне средней обеспеченности почвы обменным калием в слое 0-40 см. Полевые опыты проведены в 2015-2017 гг. в условиях Учебнонаучного производственного комплекса Донского ГАУ в Октябрьском районе Ростовской области. Объектом исследования являлся гибрид кукурузы Краснодарский 385 (среднеспелый). Анализ результатов урожайности зерна кукурузы от применения минеральных удобрений и содержания доступных элементов питания в почве, свидетельствует о существенном увеличении урожайности зерна кукурузы во все годы при улучшении калийного питания растений на средней обеспеченности почвы обменным калием в слое почвы 0-40 см, даже на фоне низкой обеспеченности почвы подвижным фосфором.
