Components of water management for human consumption in the Municipality of Valle de Angeles, Honduras

Se analizó la cantidad y calidad del agua para consumo humano en relación con el uso del suelo y los sistemas productivos en las épocas seca y lluviosa del 2007 para 21 acueductos, además, se caracterizaron los acueductos y se analizó el cumplimiento de prácticas de manejo y conservación del agua en los sistemas productivos. Se analizó la varianza para determinar el efecto de la época y el año, utilizando datos del 2006 y 2007, y los resultados fueron comparados con la norma de calidad de agua potable de Honduras. En general la municipalidad y las juntas de agua requieren fortalecimiento en la administración para una mejor gestión de los recursos hídricos. The quantity and quality of water for human consumption in relation to the current land use and the productive systeMON were analyzed during the dry and rainy seasons in the year 2007 in 21 aqueducts. The aqueducts were characterized and the execution of water management and conservation practices in the productive systeMON were analyzed. The variance was analyzed to determine the effect of the seasons and the year, using data from 2006 and 2007 respectively. The results were compared with the water quality standards in Honduras. In general, the municipality and water management committees require administrative support for a more advantageous management of these water resources.
