The economic importance of blackberries is reflected, among other things, in the relatively high financial effects that can be achieved per unit area. This paper analyzes the most important production and economic results achieved in the blackberry production on a family farm in the Western Serbia region. The aim of the research is to perceive the basic indicators of blackberry production and then determine and evaluate the level of production profitability. Blackberry production is characterized by relatively high costs per unit area (6,751.00 € / ha), but despite this, very good economic indicators are achieved in this production (profit 1,069.00 € / ha; coefficent of economy 1,16; profit rate 13,67%). Taking organized steps to increase domestic demand for blackberries would significantly contribute to improving the position of domestic producers, ie. faster development of production of this fruit species.
