Traditional food products represent a great potential for the economic development of AP Vojvodina. The research that was conducted in the paper had a purpose to investigate the role of the internet and social networks in the function of improving the competitiveness of traditional food products of AP Vojvodina. The aim of the paper was to investigate the availability of traditional food products information on the internet as well as to draw conclusions on how to improve the competitiveness of the products from this aspect. The results of the research indicated that information on traditional food products of Vojvodina was not sufficiently available on the internet. Creating a unique promotional and sales portal is what would lead to improved competitiveness of producers of this type of product. The (additional) promotion should also be done on the websites of tourist organizations of cities and municipalities of Vojvodina, as well as making such content visible in more than one language. On the other hand, producers can build their own brand through social networks based on the interactivity and popularity that this type of media allows.
