The taxonomic inventory and verification of Alnus taxa in the National Botanical Garden (Latvia) was carried out from 2018 to 2022. Descriptions of 34 taxa were prepared. Here, detailed descriptions of 25 taxa are published for the first time in Latvia. For each taxon, the main diagnostic features are given. At the beginning of taxonomical verification, the scientific collection consisted of 31 taxa: 20 species, one subspecies, three varieties and seven cultivars. During verification process, the taxonomic rank was changed for six taxa, the taxonomic affiliation was changed for 10 taxa. In total 21 taxa were verified: eight species, six subspecies and seven cultivars—99 individuals of 44 gene pool units. 18 gene pool units of wild provenance, i.e., 41% of all gene pool units, are of particular importance. [ABSTRACT IN LATVIAN] Nacionālā Botāniskā dārza alkšņu ģints Alnus Mill. zinātniskās kolekcijas taksonomiskā inventarizācija veikta no 2018. līdz 2022. gadam. Taksonu verifikācijas zinātniskajam pamatojumam sagatavoti detalizēti 34 taksonu apraksti. No tiem 25 taksonu detalizēti apraksti latviešu valodā publicēti pirmo reizi. Katram taksonam norādītas galvenās diagnosticējošās pazīmes. Sākot taksonomisko inventarizāciju, kolekciju veidoja 31 taksons: 20 sugas, viena pasuga, trīs varietātes un septiņi kultivāri. Verificēts 21 taksons: astoņas sugas, sešas pasugas un septiņi kultivāri – 44 genofonda vienību 99 indivī[di. 10 taksoniem mainīja taksonomisko piederību, bet sešiem taksoniem – taksonomisko rangu. Īpaši vērtīgas ir genofonda vienības ar savvaļas izcelsmi – 41% visu genofonda vienību.
