Abstract: A training plan and attachments are included for use in training local community nutrition workers in the WIC program. The training focuses on screening for nutritional assessment; socioeconomic assessment for referral; nutritional monitoring; and WIC program food delivery services. The training plan is designed to allow the trainer flexibility and adaptability to suit the purpose of local project needs. Trainee performance objectives are delineated for each of the competencies covered. Assessment forms for the trainer are appended. (wz).
