1966
Phillips, John J.
S2Yellow poplar (Liriodendron tulipifera L.) is one of the most desirable tree species in the Middle Atlantic States, but little has been known about the effects of various soil and topographic conditions on its growth in this region. In 1963 a study was begun to determine these relationships in New Jersey, Maryland, Delaware, and eastern Pennsylvania. This paper presents the findings in one small portion of this area, the Coastal Plain of New Jersey.S3.
