This slide/script program for pesticide applicators seeking certificaiton in demonstration and research pest control in Florida addresses certificaiton and recertification requirements. Pest management concepts, chemical and nonchemical alternatives and Integrated Pest Management (IPM); safe pesticide use, pesticide labels, signal words and toxicity; potential environmental hazards such as drift and ground water contamination; effective pesticide use for small polts, pesticide characteristics and modes of action; and state and federal regulations governing pesticides and their use are reviewed.
