Sustainable development of agriculture need to be achieved more than ever through the mastering of the dynamism of farming systems proceeding. The present study on the subject "Agriculture in the irrigated area of Tadla: what development perspectives" states in this respect. It has been carried out in a three month period by an international and multidisciplinary team of the International Centre of development oriented Research in Agriculture (ICRA) with his partner, the National Institute of research in agriculture (INRA) of Morocco. The team gave priority to a systemic approach using active participatory research method by which they associated all the stakeholders concerned. The "pertinent system" on which the study has been carried out is the "large hydraulic water distribution canal" (Oum, Rbia and Bin El Ouidane dams). The characteristics of the farming systems has been studied through accurate detail data collected near a ninety farm sample share between three rural area sides defined according to agro-ecological criteria. Structural characteristics and technical production system derive to the study of field collected data permits to rise the diversity and dynamic of farming systems as well as their working proceeding. Many constraints related to social matters, liabilities related to production, and environmental considerations still react against farmers efforts on the field.
