Extract: Arkansas produces 22 agricultural commodities on a commercial scale with a gross value of $3.35 billion in 1979. An estimated $1,773 million in value was added or created by farm entrprises. In terms of value added or created, the leading agricultural enterprises were: 1) soybeans ($704 million), 2) rice ($291 million), 3) cattle ($252 million) and 4) cotton and seed ($151 million).
