Acyl derivatives of homoserine lactone are among the key factors in the intercellular communication of gram-negative bacteria. They provide for collective behavior of bacteria and the activation of their virulence, resistance to external factors, biofilm formation, and other properties that are not observed in single cell forms. In the present work, the patterns of production of signaling molecules depending on time and temperature were studied for seven Pseudomonas strains. It was found that at 25°C some species produced higher amounts of autoinducers in the early stages, while at 37°C a two-phase process of their synthesis into the extracellular space was observed.
