The cultivar "Blanca de Tudela" has a great facility to produce spontaneous mutations which are less productive and of poorer quality than 'Blanca de Tudela'. This variety gives two main types of spontaneous mutations named "Cabeza de gato" and "Cardera". The agricultural behaviour of "Blanca de Tudela" after in vitro propagation, selections PAT-96 and PAT-97, were compared to the same variety, selection ITGA, reproduced by stalks, by annual cultivation throughout various years of vegetative reproduction. Thus, the selections PAT-96 and PAT-97, obtained in vitro in the 1996 and 1997, were reproduced by stalks the following years. The selection ITGA resulted as the most productive of the three selections, with the highest earliness and number of heads per plant. After analysing the evolution of selection behaviour in the different seasons, it was observed that while the selections ITGA and PAT-96 maintained very similar productions from year to year, the selection PAT-97 has diminished in production.
