Description of two new species of Mylonchulus (Nematoda: Mononchida) from Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir, India

Two new nematode species of Mylonchulus collected from district Rajouri of Jammu and Kashmir State, India, are described and illustrated. Mylonchulus labiatus sp. n. has medium-sized body, lips and labial papillae prominent, heavily sclerotised, buccal cavity goblet-shaped or funnel shaped, dorsal tooth located at 14-28% of stoma length from anterior end, subventral walls with seven transverse rows of minute denticles opposite to the dorsal tooth and submedian teeth, having amphidelphic reproductive system, anterior ovary is larger than the posterior one, tail arcuate conoid, caudal glands grouped with terminal duct opening. Mylonchulus caudatus sp. n. is characterised by medium-sized body, heavily sclerotized buccal cavity, goblet-shaped, dorsal tooth large sized and located at 20-27% of stoma length from anterior end, subventral walls with seven transverse rows of minute denticles opposite to the dorsal tooth and submedian teeth. Reproductive system amphidelphic, posterior ovary slightly larger than anterior one, tail conoid with rounded terminus, caudal glands arranged in tandem with terminal spinneret in tail.
