A Title IV-C Nutrition Education Development Project (NEDP) offers an innovative approach for preparing teachers in how to incorporate nutrition into their existing curriculum. One such project in Pennsylvania is described from initial implementation through its evaluation phase. The conceptual framework of NEDP makes its use possible with limited funds. The project described appears to maximize existing material and professional resources, was accomplished with available staff, necessitated no major scheduling changes, and was cost effective.
